Women's Liberation

(ContentDesk) July 20, 2004 -- Women continue to make steady progress towards equality in the workplace. Now women are making progress towards equality on the home front. How? By tapping into their resources, including their husbands. Increasingly, men and women are both juggling the demands of a career and a family. The demands are not equal, however.

Traditionally, women have been the primary caregivers. Still so today. Relinquish that role? Never. We have the natural instincts. But share that role? Now, that makes some sense.The challenge? Let's face it: Most men are not very domestic.

Organize the power tools? Mow the lawn? Great. But change the baby, that's a different story altogether. Not that men don't want to be helpful. They do (really). They just don't always know (or understand) what to do, especially concerning babies, particularly infants.Here's my secret: Help him liberate you.

Impossible? Absolutely not. Give him the tools to be helpful, starting with an appropriate diaper bag. A diaper bag he's not going to refuse to carry (with cartoons or flowery designs). A diaper bag that helps him stay organized.Men don't like to hold our purses. So we shouldn't expect them to carry diaper bags that look like purses.

My husband and I couldn't find a diaper bag that we both liked. So I took the initiative and made one for us.
I received so many compliments on the bag, as well as my helpful husband, that I decided to go into business manufacturing diaper bags for men.
